Are there any US companies that make wind-up alarm clocks?
LOL> My mother-in-law used to have one the Kit Kat clocks!
I saw the Howard Miller clocks on Amazon stating the country of origin was China.
Hi Paulette!
Howard Miller does sell some clocks that are made in China. The clocks that they make in the USA are the Grandfather, floor clocks and some of the key wound clocks. There is a furniture store near me that sells only American made Howard Miller clocks.
I would like to mention New Hampshire Clocks, which are classic clocks made out of solid wood and made in the USA. These clocks are sold nationwide at colleges, universities and corporations. New Hampshire Clocks offers custom screen printing of logos on their clocks too. I am not associated with New Hampshire Clocks, but I have purchased from them before and I am always pleased.
Hello my name is Art Jimenez III.
I was just browsing on your website in Google to discover that you only listed 1 manufacturers or companies that make wood clocks in the USA. I am giving an FYI on 4 other manufacturers that make solid wood clocks in the USA. I bought one for me and my sister from the 1st manufacturer I mentioned. The other is 3 makers I discovered when I typed in Google by chance. Anyways, according to your website you would update info if someone provides US made products. That is what I offer. Here are the 2 manufacturers starting with the 1st one me and my sister owns:
Bradford Clocks:
These beautiful clocks which I own and my sister is made in Weatherly, PA. I own a Holoke I Wall Clock which has 2 settings for a chime. It is made of solid oak wood for the cabinet. My sister owns the
Ashmore Wall clock and had 4 chime settings and is made from sold cherry wood. Movement though is made in Germany called Hermele movements for the battery operated ones. I had my clock for 5 years. You can get them battery operated or Keywound the old fashion way but will pay more.They Also Make Wooden Urns but not sure if made in USA also.ana Their website is:

Providence Workshop,
located in beautiful Door County, (Janesville), Wisconsin. I am presently designing and building clocks. A lifetime love of woodworking and clocks is finally being allowed tobe expressed. The fascination with clocks is not for the desire of always watching

Thanks so much for all of this wonderful info, Art!
We have antique Seth Thomas Schoolhouse Wall Clock in hand. Probably,it is over 100 years old。
@Tony Yang
The fate of the Seth Thomas Clock Company breaks my heart. They were four years from their 200th anniversary before the Great Recession took them. It’s sad to see such a historic company go under like that.
We have been in the clock business for many years and we support “Made in USA” products. About a third of Howard Miller clocks are made in USA, so we have separated them from the others. They can be seen at:

I didn't realize the Kit-cat clocks had been around for that long! Thank you for the article…. you make finding American made products so much simpler….
Our family has always had Howard Miller clocks in our households. Thanks for spotlighting another great American company.
What a joke! American made with cheap junk Chinese parts. Just got one and the minute hand would just hang straight down. Great quality eh!
@Harry Gordon
You can just take out the cheap Chinese movement and replace it with an American made Takane movement. I replaced my clock’s movement with a Takane movement and haven’t had a problem since. They keep time quite accurately as well. Heck, even the New Hampshire Clock Company uses Takane movements. That should be an indicator as to how good these movements really are.
I’m selling 3 American made antique wooden clocks. Two are schoolhouse clocks, one is an upright mantel clock that chimes. Let me know if you’re interested and then I’ll send pics and info.
