Do you know that moment when you discover a product that is brilliant… that answers a need… that completely changes the way you thought about something you use every day? I had one of those moments when I discovered Vapur Anti-Bottles. They are a foldable, freezable, flexible water pouch that can be conveniently stowed away when empty.
When I later realized that Vapur is entirely made in the USA, it was the cherry on top. It was love.
Earlier this summer, I was up before dawn to travel to New York for the Blog World New Media Expo. I wanted to bring a water bottle, but I don't buy disposables and I didn't want to haul an empty water bottle around with me for the rest of the trip. I skipped the water, stopped for a coffee in a disposable cup, and thought to myself, “what I really need is some sort of reusable Capri Sun pouch that I could fill at home and collapse when it was empty. Or I could take it to the airport empty and fill it at a water fountain after going through security.
I wish someone would make something like that. Hmm…”
It was only about two hours later when I spied a woman across the expo hall. Out of her bag, she pulled a flexible purple pouch. Eureka! I walked right over, apologized for interrupting her conversation and insisted she tell me all about it. Before the day was over, I was in contact with the folks at Vapur and was delighted to hear that they are BPA-free and Made in the USA.
That is the day I met Vapur.
I wanted to get my hands on one as soon as possible so I ordered one for my husband for Father's Day (c'mon, you've never given a gift that you really wanted for yourself?!). It arrived collapsed flat and my husband was a little mystified until I demonstrated how it could be rolled up and tucked into the attached carabiner clip or opened and filled with water. That's when I learned that it is also dishwasher safe (thank you!) and freezable.
I filled it halfway with water are tucked it into the freezer.
The next day, we headed out with the family for a day of boating with a cooler bag full of drinks and snacks. I pulled out the frozen Vapur bottle, filled it the rest of the way with water, and tucked it into the cooler. Later on that very hot day, I opened the cooler bag to find everything icy cold, including the partially frozen Vapur bottle. As the ice gradually melted the water stayed frosty all day long. While everyone else complained about the heat, I found myself surreptitiously enjoying the Vapur, not wanting to share.
That is the day I ordered Vapur bottles for my entire family.
And the next day I contacted Vapur to see if they would let us share them with our readers. We're giving away a Family Pack of SIX Vapur Anti-bottles, all Made in the USA. The winner will get one Vapur Element, one Vapur Runway, two Vapur Reflex, and two Vapur Fun-size Anti-bottles.

I'd like the water Element because it holds the most water.
Wind element is my favorite
I would probably find the Element the most useful size. I would keep it in the freezer to have a handy cooler to keep something from the supermarket cold until I got home. One of the other sizes would always accompany me whenever I leave my home.
