Today is the perfect day to begin or renew your home exercise program AND support American workers simultaneously.
While you're taking care of your immune and digestive systems with supplements, teas, and a healthy diet, consider going the extra mile. Purchase a home treadmill that is manufactured in the USA.
Buying a treadmill for your home that's made in America is possible and even advantageous. Not only are USA-made home treadmills higher quality products, but you also have access to better customer service.
Exercise from Home
The featured USA made treadmills allow you to exercise from the comfort of your own home. There's no need for you to get into your car and drive anywhere, and you can exercise in comfortable attire without being concerned about looking great in leggings, exercise bras, or tank tops. Best yet, you don't have to worry about waiting for a treadmill or other exercise equipment to be available in a busy gym.
Motorized and Non-Motorized Treadmills
Choose from manual to electric treadmills that come with a variety of features. Some treadmills include wifi connectivity or subscriptions to streaming exercise programs. Other treadmills are simple enough you can just step onto the moving belt and begin walking or jogging. At the very least, however, you might want to type in your age and weight. Most treadmills allow you to choose what you want to see on the control panel such as the number of calories burned, the amount of time you used the apparatus, how far you walked or jogged, and the amount of incline you used, if any. Doing so enables you to set fitness goals.
All the home motorized treadmills we recommend have a built-in emergency stop for safety. They also have foot rails for you to step onto momentarily without turning off the machine, and they have handrails for holding onto for added stability.
We could find only one non-motorized USA-made home treadmill. It's the TruForm Runner series, made in Chester, Connecticut. Note that their other treadmills are not manufactured in the USA.
Choose Quality
The companies we recommend also have a proven track record for making really good products. I recently acquired a 10-year-old treadmill that is made in the USA, and it still works perfectly! That cannot be said for other exercise equipment that quickly ends up on the disposable pile.

Tammy,
We purchased a treadmill from Johnson Products in Wisconsin a few years ago, and it was made in USA, at that time actually assembled in the US, although a minority of the parts were from “worldwide sources”. Important was that the motor was US made. The prices was reasonable, maybe $699 or so and had plenty of features for us, six programs or so and enough readout that we could keep good track of our workouts. Even the heart rate monitor was pretty accurate. It’s been 5 years and still works fine, even survived a recent move. Hopefully they haven’t changed.
Most treadmills produced in the USA are too expensive for most working people. Anyway…will continue to just walk the block!
Thank you for including the Trueform Runner in your USA made list.
We really appreciate you highlighting the fact that so many treads are made abroad, particularly in China, using unauthorized intellectual property and under questionable labor conditions.
When we were asked for a lighter weight tread, we took our exclusive world-wide license and found a manufacturer in South Korea who would value engineer the Trainer for us. The USA owner of that IP gets a royalty on each of the TRUEFORM. Trainer we sell. Before they are sold, they still come to our Chester, CT factory for quality assurance.
So our Runners are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA, our Trainers are designed, engineered, and QA’d in the USA and manufactured in our partner-facility in South Korea.
Our President just returned from a visit to Korea to ensure continued quality and comparable working conditions to our USA facility.
I have come to your website for the first time today and here I have get a lot of information, thank you very much for this.
