Shop Small – Support Local Businesses
This Thanksgiving weekend we should not only give thanks for loving families, friends, and fashionable leggings with forgiving waistbands, but we should also be grateful for a warranted excuse to shop! We are trained to dedicate the days following Thanksgiving to running around town (or sitting at the computer) collecting the best deals possible to jump start our holiday shopping . Although we love those door buster savings at the big box stores, please consider how you can snag a great deal, all the while supporting your local economy. Shop small.
Alexis McDowell will be supporting small businesses today in her hometown of Arlington, Virginia. She will shop small.
Today, Saturday, November 24th, join local consumers and businesses in support of Small Business Saturday in your community. Over one hundred million people will come together this Saturday between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Why? To support small businesses that create jobs in the USA and keep our economy thriving. If you're going to “consume” today be sure to support a participating local business in your town and shop small.
American Express created Small Business Saturday in 2010. The goal is to help small businesses compete with the big guys during the biggest shopping weekend of the year. We appreciate AMEX's support in helping recognize businesses that support American jobs and the American economy. They also carry our favorite Made in the USA products. Happy shopping and good luck out there.
