Is there a difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa?
It never even crossed my mind that hot chocolate and hot cocoa were two different things. Am I the only person that did not know that they are?! Every once in a while when I am doing research for an article I actually learn something! When doing research for this article I learned that hot chocolate and hot cocoa are, in fact, different. Hot cocoa is probably what more people are familiar with. It is traditionally made with a mix of cocoa powder, sugar, and milk which is added to hot water or warm milk. Hot chocolate, also know as drinking or sipping chocolate, is traditionally made with chopped or shredded real chocolate pieces. These chocolate pieces are slowly mixed with warm milk for a thicker and chocolatier drink.
