Made in USA Appliances
How to Find American Made Appliances
Finding appliances that are made in the USA can be a bit challenging, especially if you are trying to find products online. Here are a few tips to help you with your search:
- Check the label: Many appliances will have a label that indicates where they were manufactured. Look for labels that say “Made in USA” or something similar.
- Do your research: Look up the manufacturer's website and see if they have information about where their products are made. Some companies may also have a list of authorized dealers or distributors that carry their American-made products. USA Love List editors have done this step for you with the creation of this list.
- Look for American-made brands: There are several appliance brands that are known for manufacturing their products in the USA. You will see those brands in this list.
- Check with retailers: Some retailers may have a section dedicated to American-made appliances, or they may be able to provide you with information about which products are made in the USA.
- Consider buying used: If you're having trouble finding new appliances that are made in the USA, consider looking for used appliances that were manufactured in the USA. You can often find these at appliance stores that specialize in used appliances, or through online marketplaces like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace.
By following these tips, you should be able to find appliances that are made in the USA and support American manufacturing.
About This List of Appliances Made in the USA
This ultimate source list of American made appliances is updated frequently. We have noticed over the years that companies are shifting their manufacturing constantly. The brands that you see on this list today, could close a US manufacturing facility by the end of the year. Thankfully, we have been noticing the opposite happening and companies are actually opening more US appliance manufacturing facilities!
Most of the appliances on this list, if not all of them, are assembled in the USA from domestic and imported parts. There is no such thing as an appliance that is 100% American made. This is because currently not all parts needed, especially the electrical parts, can be sourced domestically. We do not have manufacturing facilities that make all of the parts on American soil.
We have included shopping links to made in USA appliances when possible. Several brands on this list only sell through authorized appliance dealers. Some appliance brands have other manufacturing facilities in other countries like Canada, Mexico, and even China. It is hard to tell through the internet which models are the made in USA ones as not all online listings specify. Always contact the dealer or manufacturer to verify the country of manufacturing.
Is there a brand that is missing from our list? Is there a particular appliance you are looking for that you don't see listed? Let us know in the comments.

Maytag Appliances
Maytag manufactures many appliances in the USA, such as select washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges. I bought the Maytag Bravos washing machine (pictured here) last December, and I absolutely LOVE it. I purposefully purchased a top loader because multiple people have told me that front loading washing can build up mildew around the rubber seal on the door. I also didn't want one because I'm the girl who forgets to throw stuff in the washer, and likes to open it up again to throw a few more things in after the washer begins. This washer is great – it's quiet, washes clothes well, and has a lot of settings based on how you like to wash your clothes. Maytag is part of the Whirlpool Corporation. Shop Maytag at Lowes.
- Shop Maytag appliances at Lowes (check the descriptions for manufacturing location).

So happy to see this list! Great job!
Great and interesting website content. Keep sharing.
Beware of the “new Maytag” (or anything made by Whirlpool! I bought a Maytag washer in 2018 that lasted three years! In order to get it out of the basement, I had to tear it apart. I discovered all of the control, motors (and wiring) were made in China! I discovered that It was the control panel that failed. No big surprise! Then, I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2019, and it is a total piece of junk! Many of the plastic components have broken, and worse, it leaks water all over my floor. The finish floor has been ruined and I can’t wait to take this miserable mess to the dump. In other words, I’ll never buy a whirlpool appliance again
I have a small kitchen and need a countertop dishwasher. Is there any made in the U.S.?
Is there a microwave made in the US? Others have asked and it’s gone unanswered. I’ve been searching online and can’t find one. Thank you.
I will look for made in USA microwaves!
Bosch, a German company, operates factories in New Bern, NC and LaFolette, TN. Most of the Bosch appliances sold in North America are made in the North Carolina facility. According to Consumer Reports, Bosch appliances have some of the best reliability and highest owner satisfaction.
so, still don’t know what brand refrigerator to purchase
You should add Kirby vacuums to this list. They have been made in the US for over 100 years and are one of the best if not the greatest vacuum sweeper money can buy. My parents 24+ year old G5 can out sweep anything Dyson or Shark could ever dream of producing. My parents warrantied it once when I was a kid and got a remanufactured G5 outright because of the lifetime warranty. If this 24+ year old vacuum is so awesome I can only imagine how great their newest models are.
The new Kirby’s are just as good have both and still going strong yay American made products
Thank you! Kirby has been added. Pretty sure my parents still have theirs too!
Grainmaker, made in Stevensville, Montana. Family owned and operated.
I have a Blendtec blender and it’s the BEST!
I’m looking for a pizzelle maker. Any thoughts?
I found one! I will add it to our list 🙂 http://kitchenarts.com/products/Palmer-Pizzelle-Maker–Made-in-USA.html
GE appliances are not made in USA !
Parts are made in China and ASSEMBLED in the USA !
And, why would I want to buy a product from a Chinese owned company? I don’t care where it’s made if the company is owned by someone in China. I am glad this site specifies that information.
Looking for a small “foreman type” grill. Any suggestions?
Can you add bbqs that are made in canada or the usa?
Joe, your wish is our command! Check out this source list of Grills Made in the USA.
Is there a 5 to 7 cu. ft. chest freezer made in America?
I would also like to know what Freezers are made in the USA… 5 cu. Ft.
go for EZ freezers
Learning that Haier now owns GE Appliance Division was a major factor in my decision to buy Maytag instead. Maytag is no longer independent but is owned by Whirlpool, still an American company. Yes, I know that GE washers and dryers are made in Louisville, KY and employ tens of thousands of people there, but I can’t in good conscience support the ChiComs. Haier merely purchased the rights to the name which they can use for 40 years (until 2056) as part of the deal but there is no longer any assurance that the products will have the GE quality that I grew up knowing. If Haier were based in Taiwan I would have no problem. Taiwan is a courageous little country and all that is left of the Republic of China who was our ally in WW2, (and for whom the famous Flying Tigers fought) that was overthrown by the Communists in 1949. I live in Tennessee and was doubly pleased to learn that my new Maytag washer and dryer were made in Cleveland, TN, near Chattanooga.
Exactly. The founder of Haier is a member of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.
And I’m sure all the Wifi/”Smart” components of everything they build are/will soon be watching you and reporting back to Party HQ. That sounds really silly/petty, right? But remember, the Chinese gov’t has at least 2-3 CCTV cameras for each citizen and they build backdoors into everything. They now monitor & punish people for the tiniest of thought crimes. (ie using the backdoor to your house “too often”, calling Taiwan a nation, or liking Winnie The Pooh.) So if you’ve got a Haier (or anything built in/by Chinese companies), you better wash your Winnie T-shirts by hand!!! Otherwise, it will sit in your file until they can finally treat you like a Uighur. These folks aren’t like us ADHD riddled fools. They think long-term and nothing gets past them. (See: Mao & strategic patience)
This is another reason why buying “Smart products” is soooo stupid. Just wait till China/Russia (or just the kid next door who hates you) hacks you, or sends the order to crash your/everybody’s machines. It’s just a matter of time, if it’s not starting already.
COMMENT
Totally agree with your comments!
I didn’t know that! tHAN YOU!

You missed a great American made large kitchen appliance – Vent-A-Hood Company! Based and completely made in Texas 🙂
I am looking for an electric percolator, all stainless parts, and made in the USA; are there any?
Not that I know of. Get a good vintage Farberware off of Ebay. Will last for decades. Note the ones with the blue label are made in China.
I am looking for a small countertop microwave. Made in the USA? Do you have any suggestions?
Are there any air fryers made in the USA?
Not that we have seen, but we will be looking!
Great information and especially nice to see others with a passion for made in America. Please continue sharing!
Five Star ranges: fivestarrange.com
Thank you for the tip. I added them to the list!
GE appliances are not American anymore, bought by Haier, a Chinese company.
Thanks, updated the post with a note. They are still manufacturing in the US and employing Americans.
I’ve been searching for an American made tea kettle for years!
Is there such a thing?
So wish Farberware would come home. I loved their Paul Revere tea kettle but I won’t buy unless made in usa.
All Clad
Not anymore! All Clad tea kettles are manufactured overseas. We have not been able to find a tea kettle made in the USA.
Look on eBay for “NOS” or “new old stock.” I have bought many boxed and unopened items that were made in the USA in the 70s.
other than than their pots, most Aalclad stuff is made in China. I bought a strainer in amazon.com that was SUPPOSED to be American made, but when i received it, I discovered it was made China so I sent it back, I will never trust Allclad again!
I’m surprised to see so many are still made here, to be honest. Still, it is good to know.
Are there any 4 slice toasters made and owned by American company?
We haven’t found any 🙁
What about Wolf toasters?
Interesting. This looks super cool. I haven’t read it all yet, but I’ll be back to read the rest of it.
I love this man. PLEASE keep posting! Can’t wait to read your next blog!
Capital appliances are manufactured in the USA.
Speed Queen washers are made in New Jersey-Great heavy duty simple to use!
Thank you! Added Speed Queen to our list.
While shopping, recently, saw the Speed Queen washers were marked as being made out of country … Mexico, I think.
My Speed Queen dryer was made in the USA. Purchased Mar 2021.
I am looking for an iron?
Any suggestions?
Thank you! Added Capital to our list.
Trying to find a waffle maker US made ?
We will keep our eyes out for one!
I see that cpalmermfg.com makes some small appliances including waffle irons in West Newton PA
I’m needing to add some new appliances to my kitchen as I’m lacking a few. As you mentioned here, all the ones listed are made in the USA. That is pretty neat considering that there are a lot of appliances out there that are made overseas. I’d probably look into a coffee maker like the one you showed.
I buy American made products as much as possible.
Trying to fine American made electric skillet. Any ideas?
Small electronics are a tough category. I did find this one, but I’m not quite sure where to purchase it! http://www.lifetimecookware.com/lten/Products/ProductsbyCategory/Electrics/LiquidCoreSkillets.htm
Check eBay for “NOS” or “new old stock” items. There are many unopened items that have been stored away in peoples’ homes for decades.
We’ve had a lot of these products and no issues really. Maytag makes the best dishwasher we owned. Sad to leave it behind when we sold our last home.
I recently bought all new Kitchen Aid kitchen appliances. At first I was happy with the products until I cleaned the oven using the AquaLift Self clean feature. I did the process 4 times and still I could not just wipe the oven clean. It’s a big scam that cleaning method and I am furious. Does it mean that we cannot buy Good made in the Us products anymore? I am telling all my friends about this $4,000. oven whose cleaning
Feature is useless. Next time I will buy European made goods. I am done with lies and fake advertisements.
We love our Amana (whirlpool?) washer and dryer purchased just over one year ago. Made in America.
Glad to see my GE and KitchenAid appliances are made in the USA!
Not all KitchenAid appliances are made in the US anymore. Specifically, they have a small food processor that’s made in CHINA.
What a great list. I especially love Kitchen Aid products. Thanks for posting!
Just remember now that GE appliances are now a Chinese-owned (meaning, government-owned) company although still made in the US. After years of always having GE refrigerators my next one will NOT be a GE lol
very happy to learn that . !! moving on to another brand for my new refrig purchase. Thanks
So you don’t actually care where they are made?
I was going to post this too! GE in name only. On June 6, 2016, Haier & KKR acquired GE Appliances for $5.6 billion. Under the terms of the sale Haier (Qingdao Haier Group) would have the right to use the GE brand name until 2056. They also own Hisense and Fisher & Paykel.
Just purchased a Speed Queen washer after our 7 year old Whirlpool shot craps. This was the 3rd time in 7 years to have the repairman out to work on the Whirlpool washer which we were told had multiple problems. Makes my heart happy to see the positive revues on here about the Speed Queen washers. We purchased a top load washer which has a 7 year warranty, worth paying more since it has the 7 year warranty and was made in the USA!
I know Speed Queen washers and dryers are made in Ripon, Wisconsin!! Yay! Very good ratings I’ve heard!!!
I’ve had a Speed Queen Washing Machine for over 7 years. I LOVE IT!! Best washing machine ever. It actually uses water. Was recommended by an appliance repair man and my daughter had an appliance repair man to her house an he also told her Speed Queen was the best.
I am incredibly happy with my Kitchenaid mixer and Vitamix blender. I purchased both over 10 years ago. No problems, they are a workhorse. I purchased a pink Jiffy stand up clothing steamer a year ago and am over the moon in love with it. I have no problem saving for a bit and purchasing a made in America product. I love supporting American workers and am very conscious to do so every time they are available.
I always try to find anything made in my country, but they are getting rare because United States customers want things cheap and also demand higher wages. That is killing us! (I worked in 20 countries, so I know the difference in treatment and behavior.)
I came here to seek a Microwave Oven. In many stores I investigated; all of them in any store were made in China! That I avoid most! Citizens who do that labor there are SLAVES! Should I support slavery? Only one I found made in Malaysia, where I also worked once. It is not as bad a China, but I cannot find where that one is sold.
STOP BUYING THINGS CHEAP! That is killing our whole society and making more slavery. Even where i shop depends on how employees are treated. That is why I never enter WalMart or Meijers. I knew people who worked there.
You are so right on all your points. I also look at it as our patriotic duty to suppor American made products. Also most things manufactured in other countries lack in quality, A prime example China nothing made there is quality or last long. I buy American made products and due without if it is made in China. So glad to have found this site.
I too am realizing the lack of appliances being built in my Great Country. This is also the downfall of respect for our country. I need a new microwave but am uunable to fine one manufactured in the USA
Did you find a microwave made in America?
Thanks but I’m thinking this list could stand to be updated – appliance companies have ‘changed hands’’ in recent years that are not mentioned.
My Speed Queen washer and dryer are, hands down, the best I have ever have. I will never own a Kenmore Whirlpool combo again…garbage!
Speed Queen washer and dryer are the best (hands down) laundry appliances.
I’m glad for any exposure of this issue. A movie called Death by China is also enlightning; I wish every US citizen would watch it. Terrifying!!!
AVOID LG washing machines, product of Kenmore made in Korea. If an unbalanced load goes unnoticed, the top comes off and goes airborne! Ours busted a hole in the laundry room wall and broke glass in the adjoining bathroom. Could’ve killed someone in the laundry room. Was in my office when it happened; ran outside thinking our house had been hit by an aircraft, so loud and shook walls and floor. Only thing in washer: a quilted mattress topper. LG never responded. Have since learned we weren’t the only ones with an exploder.
I just bought an LG washer and dryer. Thank you for the information.
Wish In would have known it was not built in the USA.
The dryer is worthless. Can’t figure out the settings. They are so foreign and
not easy to understand. Drying towels, set the towel settings and two minutes
later the buzzer went off. When will the government ever learn not to buy
and allow overseas items shipped here. The communists have us.
Don’t buy LG products – EVER !!
Which suppliers in the U.K. can you buy the
KitchenAid-4-Quart-Multi-Cooker-with-Stir-Tower-Accessory-in-Candy-Apple-KMC42 it must be candy apple colour. Many thanks Andy.
Funny how you don’t mention GE is owned by China now!
GE appliances were sold to Haier, but Haier had already built a top freezer refrigerator factory in SC. They are as vomited or more so to USA MFG. as most USA based companies. Local MFG. is the future, especially for large items. But we won’t see the large number of jobs as the past. The jobs will pay a lot more, but there will be less for the amo7nt of products Made in the USA.
Also, see my comments above…
Speed Queen makes all of their washers and driers in the USA. They are also the ones to give a three year warranty.
BUNN makes an exceptional coffee maker. And, I know, because I am seriously addicted to coffee! LOL
When buying appliances I always look for the made in the USA. Don’t forget GE products. My GE stove and Refrigerator are made in America, and have lasted 10 years and more and never had a major problem. My whirlpool dryer is over 20 years old, and still works to this day, both my washers are less then 3 years old, and made in America. I wish more proplr would look for that label, and stop going with the cheapest price.. Remember , you get what you pay for.
Speed Queen Appliances……Fantastic!
Does speed queen make toaster ovens USA made ?…..
Yayyyyy USA made yes yes
We are a BlendTec family. My husband and I have had three (we love the colors) and use ours daily. All three of our married children have them in their homes and use them regularly. In fact, our married son and his family have two, one in their Utah home and one in their home in China – both red!! They wouldn’t be without one no matter where they’re living!!
Glad to see this list. Getting so hard to find USA made anymore
I was surprised to read in your article that many GE products, including water heaters, are made in America because several years ago we needed to replace our gas water heater and most of the water heaters I researched online were made in Mexico. There were lots of complaints on different home repair websites and forums from people who had brand new and fairly new water heaters from well-known companies, including GE, who were having all sorts of problems with their new and fairly new water heaters and that attributed it to the fact that the water heaters were cheaply made in Mexico.
Bradford-White made in Middleville, MI
Thanks for the list of Made in the USA appliances. So happy to see many of my favorites on the list!
I have always wanted a Vitamix blending machine and I am happy they are made in the USA, I did not know that.
hello
I found your site while looking for a USA made (not assembled in USA) refrigerator. I recently bought a stove from “Premier” and a washing machine from “Staber Industries”. Both are Made in the USA.
Both “Premier” and “Staber Industries” are good USA made product, but also both are kind of quirky And not for everyone.
Good job on buying Made in USA though!!! 🙂
My KitchenAid stand mixer is the workhorse of my kitchen It was a Mother’s Day gift a few years ago and I LOVE it!
Speed Queen washed and dryers ate made in Wisconsin and the washer had a FULL 3 YEAR WARRANTY!!! They are only available at small appliance stores, not the big box stores. I absolutely love my SQ washer!!!
I have Doed Queen washer/dryer also because I wantedAmerican made. Only problem is that the top load washer doesn’t wring clothes that well so it takes longer to dry them.

We love our Speed Queen Washer and Dryer! Made in Ohio. Been flawless for 8 years so far!
I attended a site visit to a GE facility, and their HR department indicated that GE appliances were sold to Haier, a Chinese manufacturing facility. You may read the article here: https://www.cnet.com/news/its-official-ge-appliances-belongs-to-haier/
Yes, GE was under pressure by shareholders to sell the appliance divion for many years as it is not a high growth industry. They made a very real effort to reshore most of the appliance MFG. To the USA before selling to Haier, and Haier has made a strong commitment to advancing that. They have stopped making the special Geospring water heater, but still make most of their large appliances here in the USA? Ultimately Whirlpool does make more appliances in the USA than GE, but GE makes more than any other company. If you want to go high end, Viking, Dacor, Wolf/SubZero, Bosch (dishwashers and more), Thermador (owened by Bosch) is the oldest “premium” bands in the USA.. There are other specialty companies such as Blue Star, Big Chill, Speed Queen and Jennair div. Whirlpool. I could go on… Samsung (Bought Dacor last year) Just opened a washing machine factory in SC, USA & LG is building one in TN, USA right now. So if you really want to buy Made / Assembled in USA appliances you definitely can in most cases.
These companies use “stockholder pressure” to make all sorts of selfish outsourcing decisions. As things break down, I am replacing with U.S.A. bought Maytag washer dryer pair, very happy.
Poster 1-23-2019. I purchased a GE washer and dryer in March 2018 thinking they would be as good as the GE pair from 2004 they replaced, only to find out that they are not nearly as good and both machines had defects. The Dryer had defect that allowed black residue to contaminate my clothes and GE installed a correction kit 6 months later. The washer cannot balance the load and GE instructed me to always use the highest water level to try to reduce out of balance conditions. If you read the agreement GE made with Haier, it lets Haier slap the GE brand on Chinese made appliances for the next 40 years with no warning to the consumer, which is a fundamentally deceptive business strategy to lure Americans to continue buying GE appliances based on the expectation they are getting the same quality product that bore the GE name before 2016. I hope some lawyers destroy GE and Haier apart over this scam.
Sub Zero refrigerators should be on the list.
Yes! SubZero and Wolfe.
I love my SubZero. Yes, they are expensive, but by far, of all the appliances we installed in our new house four years ago (all European-made aside from the SubZero) the one that has been the best and the most trouble-free is the SubZero. I joke that I drive a ’98 VW Beetle still (so it is 24 years old this year) as I preferred to spend money on this frig. SubZero has had amazing customer service the couple times I called them. You truly get what you pay for. Plus, the frig makes me happy every single day. It is the best frig I’ve ever owned.
I’ve always been a big fan of GE. I have an old boombox style radio (and cassette player, lol) that I bought as a teenager in the early 80s. (Hey, it was the thing then!) It STILL WORKS! I use it everyday because it picks up stations so far away.
Nobody would help, not Lowes or maytag
YES! I would love to have a store near my home that sells only what is made in USA. But I am afraid they would go out of business because our own citizens want thing cheap and do not care who suffers to make it.
Hi Marvin – I live in upstate NY but there is a Made in America Store near Buffalo, NY in Elma, NY that my husband loves to go to. They sell nothing that is not 100% made in the USA! My husband shops there all the time. He also researches everything he buys on line. It is rare he can’t find what he’s looking for. I am now looking for a refrigerator/freezer for the garage and will probably patronize a local appliance dealer. We never buy appliances in a box store – have heard too many horror stories! Best of luck, Marvin!
It sure would be great if this article was re-written to show WHO/WHAT COUNTRY owns the brands that you say are Made in America. I for one will never own a GE appliance again as it is now OWNED by a company in CHINA. Yes, now you need to also find out WHO/WHAT COUNTRY owns the company you want the product from. It may say Made in America, but WHO OWNS THEM???????????
It doesn’t stop there either! Then we need to find out who has controlling interest in the company & research them to ensure they aren’t a part of Project 2025 who are well organized and not only try to strip the working class of rights, but have slowly & successfully created a modern form of Feudalism in the USA. These people who admire/worship the wealthy are literally not only killing the ‘American Dream,’ they are literally driving us to homelessness, starvation, & actual death. This isn’t hyperbole. People really need to wake up & see how they’ve overthrown FL, forcing people to sell there homes & either become a part of the renter class or flee in hopes another state has the room, employment, education for their children, & has retained their basic sense of sanity. Florida is like the test pilot for the USA transitioning into a 3rd world country. Has everyone lost their minds? Why on earth do people who WORK for a living think the Trustfund Class, who already cheats & doesn’t pay their share of taxes, deserve all the breaks & that the burden of all the infrastrucure we need to make USA an actual developed country be paid exclusively by the middle class & working poor? We paid dearly for all the people who forgot or never learned what feudalism & monarchies look like! So proceed with caution! Yes, we want to support jobs, but we also want to make sure the profits don’t go to the very people who vote against education, healthcare, a living wage, etc. I just hope & pray people are learning who helps vs. who harms the working class of this country. The stunts people have been pulling might be entertaining, but it’s no way to live. Yes, there’s a stooge who’s the face of the feudalist/monarch nightmare, but there are other real corrupt & evil corporations using that stooge to advance Project 2025, so you need to know the exact people profiting off your purchases! Are they helping their employees (& we the people in general) gain access to the advancements & infrastucture developed countries enjoy or are they a part of tearing down everything we’ve all worked for?
I have a maytag gas range. It has so many things wrong with it, I would tell eveyone to NEVER buy one. Made in Mexico. First week, black paint flaked off exposing metal. Top is not cleanable. First roast created huge drips between oven door glass, not cleanable, looks terrible. Back burner goes out while simmering. Aqua lift self cleaning oven does not clean.
I love to see products made in the USA!
Wow! what a wonderful website. I am a inventor, and I’m starting a line of purses and accessories. I love USA products, because it gives families in United States; jobs. I hope that I don’t have to go over seas, or to other countries to sell my product.
How can I help you sell your purses? I live in Utah & am looking for something fun to do. I love marketing & networking. Please get in touch with me if I can help. I love made in the USA products…we have all Whirlpool kitchen appliances & maybe I paid a bit more, but your are right it gives families in the United States jobs!
You becoming the middleman raises the price….. It’s why people buy made overseas… Cheaper…
amazing, thanks for the guide- some of these listings were surprising
I am always looking for products made in USA as I replace items that have worn out. I have found you really have to read labels, because some companies have products made in USA and others imported. We were replacing a ATV battery & found the same company made one in USA & one in China, fine print. I paid $20.00 more to have the one made in USA.
Saving our own business is worth a lot more than $20.
That is exactly what I think, nowadays I am happy to pay more to get things made in USA to keep the business going here, and also the forefront in engineering, the durability, the honor in the product where it will be uphold, the high quality, and the life of people, damn it, too many for a few dollars more
Amen!
I’ll Amen to that as well!
I wish I had a BlendTec – once again it is on my Christmas list! I’ll send this post to my hubby and maybe this year….
I absolutely LOVE my Blendtec!
