When friends and relatives get married, we're thrilled for them, but it usually means giving a substantial gift. The key to giving American-made wedding gifts is knowing which brands to look for on the registry and having some off-registry favorites. These are ours.

American Stonecraft Cheese Board Slab
Nothing says wedding like a unique, one-of-a-kind gift for the happy couple. American Stonecraft makes food slabs from farm gathered fieldstones. Artisans saw and polish the rock with diamond tools in the company's Lowell, Massachusetts studio. Use the stone as a cheese board or as a trivet for hot dishes. Each stone’s farm-provenance and artisan is permanently labeled on the underside.
Bauer Pottery American Modern Pitcher
Bauer Pottery continues to make stunningly fluid pottery pieces and the American Modern Pitcher is no exception. This iconic dinner accessory is perfect for the Mid-Century Modern lover and any design enthusiast alike! The pitcher has an 80-ounce capacity.
Ben's Garden Fluttering Butterflies Decoupage Glass Tray
Ben's Garden makes the most beautiful home decor gifts around! I absolutely love the Fluttering Butterflies Decoupage Glass Tray for a wedding keepsake gift that can easily become a family heirloom. The story of this brand started with humble beginnings in 1998 when Ben Busko was just 8 years old, selling decoupage inspired by his garden. Now you can celebrate life's everyday moments and milestone memories with Ben's beautiful decoupage collections.
Fiesta Dinnerware
Fiesta dinnerware comes in a huge range of colors for coordinating or mixing and matching. The lucky couple can't go wrong with the Fiesta 4-Piece Place Setting. When in doubt, Fiesta's serving pieces are also always a good bet.
Hanselmann Pottery Open Casserole
I absolutely love this Hanselmann Pottery Open Casserole Dish. It's versatile, practical, and beautiful, making it the perfect gift-giving item to be enjoyed for decades to come. Hanselmann Pottery has been making hand thrown stoneware for the home and table in New Mexico since 1970. This pottery is really special; you can tell right when you touch it! It's the perfect tabletop addition for any home.
KitchenAid Stand Mixer
Every cook or aspiring cook hopes for a KitchenAid mixer for a wedding gift. This one is worth splitting with another guest to give a hard-working machine that will last a lifetime. The wide range of fun colors is a bonus.
Lodge Cast Iron Cookware
Lodge has been manufacturing cookware in Tennessee since 1896 and is one of America's oldest and continuously operated cookware companies. Lodge cast iron skillets, grill pans, and dutch ovens make fabulous wedding gifts and will last forever. The Lodge Logic Cast Iron 3 Qt. Combo Skillet Cooker Set is a great gift choice, and the Lodge Logic 5 Quart Cast Iron Dutch Oven is as well.
Simon Pearce Hartland Cakeplate & Dome
Handmade in Vermont by Simon Pearce glassblowers using centuries-old techniques, the Hartland Cakeplate & Dome is beautiful enough to display on its own or use to showcase your incredible edible masterpieces. This makes for a stunning gift that's sure to be celebrated and loved for years to come.
Tervis Tumbler 4 Pack 9oz Stemless Wine Glass
Tervis has a devoted following in the South because their tumblers keep cold drinks cold without making the glass sweat. A full set of Tervis Tumblers adds up compared to basic glasses, but they still make a very affordable wedding gift – the kind that will be used for years whether or not they were on the registry. Note: The stainless steel Tervis products are not American made.
Wow, this article is a lifesaver! I’ve been struggling to find unique wedding gifts, and the Made-in-USA focus is just what I needed. The personalized cutting board idea is brilliant; it adds such a thoughtful touch. Can’t wait to explore more options from your list!
I really like the kitchenware & tableware.
My online gift boutique http://www.myfavbaskets.com carries a large selection of candles, scented wax dipped roses, personalized gifts including many bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, wedding pillow case sets, throw pillows and more that are all proudly made in the USA.
It’s a great idea for wedding day gifts. Here I would like to add the sterling silver handmade jewelry for wedding couples. Here is the list of bracelet for women (bride), https://www.etsy.com/shop/MirrorwhiteJewelry/items?section_id=18633150 and you see the latest handmade jewelry collection by clicking here https://www.etsy.com/shop/MirrorwhiteJewelry
Thanks for including Tervis. They make great wedding gifts. You can even monogram or personalize with wedding photos.
Great ideas. I especially like the Lodge cast iron. It’s a gift that lasts a lifetime!
great suggestions. i’ve been to the forge you mentioned
I agree with your list, and I’ve bought a few items on it. I have one suggested addition – Rada Cutlery, which is made in Waverly, Iowa. When a bride registers for a pizza stone made in China, I just substitute it for a Rada one. Their website is: http://www.radacutlery.com/best .
We’re a small company that makes ceramic dinnerware by hand, in Corrales New Mexico USA. Our place settings have been hugely popular registry gifts, and are durable long-lasting heirloom pieces. Our website is hanselmannpottery.com
It never occurred to me to shop USA for wedding gifts, but that can also be part of what makes the gift special. I didn’t realize these great name brands are made in the USA – have to make sure I use these!!!
Here’s an update from Calphalon on which of their lines are still Made in the USA:
“We currently produce our products in many locations. The bulk of our cookware which is manufactured from aluminum, is still produced here in Toledo, Ohio. Our Stainless Steel and Cast Iron products are entirely produced overseas. Likewise our Utensils, Bakeware, Electrics and Kitchen Gadgets are also produced overseas.”
So it is their classic lines of pots and pans, made from aluminum, that you want if you are aiming to buy American-made.
Just stumbled across your website from Yahoo. I am very passionate about AM and I try my best to always purchase AM. I own a Kitchen Aid stand mixer and it is not all AM my bowl is made in India. My hubby purchase this mixer about 3 yrs ago not online but at Macy’s.
Keep up the good work!! Many people believe in American Made products.
I’m very surprised that I don’t see Lodge anywhere on your website or amazon store. They are very proud to manufacture in the states and are great quality.
You are right Robin! We love Lodge cast-iron. They last forever and they are one brand you can always find in the big box stores. I only wish their new enamelware that compares to Le Creuset was made in the USA. So just check your labels when buying Lodge but it is definitely a great pick.
My Kitchen Aid mixer is one of the best gifts I ever got!
I’ve given so much Calphalon as wedding gifts – always seems to be one piece or many on wedding registries! So nice to learn that they are American-made!
How wonderful it would be if we could do what ABC News suggested, and I try really hard, but I have a Calphalon Pn (I got my sweetheart to buy it for me for Christmas. It's this one: http://store.calphalon.com/calphalon-simply-calph… and it said 'made in China' on the box. Is it only certain series that are made in the USA?
I would be really interested if you would check that out.
Thanks for letting us know about this. We will contact Calphalon directly and get the scoop.
We received a set of Calphalon pots and pans when we got married (a while back), and we absolutely LOVE them. I never even realized that they were made in America. I think some people think that you can't get good products that are American made and Calphalon is the prefect example that you absolutely can.
